Privacy Policy

Last updated 7 October 2026

Poker God is the controller of the personal data processed through this site. For any question about your data, use the contact page.

  • Account: email, name (optional), a one-way hash of your password, and whether the email is verified.
  • Settings and progress: your chosen language and the lessons you have marked complete.
  • Billing: Stripe customer, subscription and payment identifiers, the plan, amounts and dates. Card details are entered with Stripe and never reach our servers.
  • Security: sessions, the IP address and time of recent sign-in requests (to limit abusive attempts) and technical error logs.
  • Emails: a record of the emails we sent you (verification, password reset, welcome, account changes).

To provide the service you bought (performance of the contract): signing in, saving progress, giving access to the lessons and charging for the plan. To meet legal obligations, such as keeping billing records. And, on the basis of our legitimate interest, to keep the service secure and fix errors. We do not sell personal data and we do not run personalised advertising.

We use these processors, each only for the role stated:

  • Stripe: payments, receipts and refunds (Stripe is the merchant of record for purchases) (privacy policy).
  • Amazon Web Services (SES): sending account and billing emails (privacy policy).
  • Cloudflare: network delivery and protection (privacy policy).
  • DigitalOcean: server hosting (privacy policy).

Some of them process data outside the European Economic Area under the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or another recognised mechanism. We share data with authorities only when the law requires it.

Account data is kept for as long as the account exists. When you delete it, progress and settings are erased immediately and the account stops being identifiable; billing records are kept in anonymised form for the period tax law requires. Technical logs are deleted after a short period.

You can access, correct, export and delete your data. The Account page lets you change your name, email and password, download your data and delete the account. You also have the right to object to certain processing and to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country.

We use only the cookies needed to sign you in and remember your language, plus browser storage for the theme. The details are in the Cookies Policy.

Passwords are stored with one-way hashing, connections are encrypted and server access is restricted. No system is perfect: if you find a problem, tell us.

The service is for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from minors; if you learn of an account held by a minor, tell us and we will delete it.

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we tell you by email or on the site before the change takes effect.
